The painting is called „The Line of Touch”.
There is something inside every person that you feel but cannot put into words. An inner touch.
A touch – for example: you see a painting that touches your soul, that moves you. Or you talk to someone who understands you. When someone grasps your thoughts – that is immensely precious to every human being. This is precisely the line of touch.
In my paintings, I always try to create contrasting works. You will rarely see anything blurred, in indistinct tones, from me. The line of touch… How can you tell that it is depicted when we are looking at an urban landscape? It doesn’t matter. Whether you paint a cityscape or someone’s broken, distorted face – you create an image. Everything always speaks of what you have in your soul.
If a person paints in blurred, grey tones – that speaks of their character. But when you work with contrast, when you see little houses, dark and light, red, colours that seem to spill out of the canvas and leap into your eyes – that is your line of touch. It doesn’t matter whether you paint houses or – I repeat – someone’s faces.
