The painting is called „The two of them”.
The soul constantly seeks another kindred soul. And no matter how deep a person you are, you sometimes long to share your innermost feelings with someone, or what you think about the world.

They say loneliness gives a person much. I would say: it also takes much away. For the soul most certainly needs another person.

And when you are together as two – especially when you like that other person, when your soul has already accepted them – then you want to speak more than with others. You see in them something that sets them apart from the rest. You open your soul to them, you open your heart. You speak much. You say many good and tender things.

That is what „two as one” means. Though the word seems simple, in truth it holds great depth. You are drawn to that person. You want to step forward, toward the world, and you receive a certain energy from that other person. That is yours – it belongs to you.
